Nothing much happens at this time. I was just on my way rushing to this ferris wheel at this moment. Running and taking photos at the same time. (Plus thinking I should start exercising more.)

I cropped alot for this pic. The original pic has the whole ferris wheel in it. For some reason, I just felt like chopping off 3/4 of the ferris wheel today.

Nara To-Kae Lights

Nara To-Kae Lights, originally uploaded by Ya Ya.

Never take anything for granted. I witnessed with my own eyes the logistics and planning that took place to ensure all these candles are lighted within 5 minutes. A breathtaking sight to see these candles lit all around the fields and mountains.

Note: Tens of thousands of candles are lit up in the land of ancient Nara where thrived as a capital 1300 years ago. NARA TO-KAE started in 1999. Candlelight blends with the historical land and spectacular nature only 11 days in Summer.

TO-KA is a lump of flower shape on the top of a candlewick after lighting a candle. It is said to be good fortune when the flower shape is made.

like this picture very much because it is a little dreamy. I like the greenish lighting, the reflections in the waters, and the people standing by the pond. I hope you would like it too.
